Bude's Storm Tower, Sterling Silver Bead for bead bracelets like Pandora, Troll and others. This one is 15mm high. It joins our collection of Bude and Cornwall themed bracelet beads as you can see in the image.
We also make two pendants and earrings of the Tower, listed separately, and a larger charm.
 
The Bude Storm Tower  was built in 1835 as a shelter for the Coastguards looking after the shipping entering and leaving the tiny port of Bude. A flag signalling system was used on a flagpole nearby to pass information to the ships.
Due to erosion it had to be moved back from the cliff edge in 1881/2. Now with continuing erosion it has to be moved again.
